Enduring Powers of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney is a legal document wherein an individual can appoint another person or persons to manage their affairs and make decisions about their welfare should they become mentally incapacitated at any future stage.

An Enduring Power of Attorney only comes into effect when it has been registered in the High Court and an Attorney can only make an application to register an Enduring Power of Attorney should the individual become permanently mentally incapacitated and is unable to manage their own welfare and affairs.
